Coming in HOT!
We've missed you and have a lot to catch up on

Presented by:

Ladies take a seat because we have months of tea to catch up on!

I’ve tried to write this so many times. Embarrassingly enough, I actually started drafting this back in July…but kept stopping. The truth is, I get so in my own head about these things: Do people even care? Who am I really doing this for? It’s a vicious cycle of overthinking that leads to…nothing. (Sound familiar?)
Honestly, it’s the same story with trying to create content for TikTok—I let the overwhelm creep in and paralyze me. But lately, I’ve been reminding myself to go back to basics. Do it for yourself first, and the rest will fall into place.
So here I am, hitting "send" on this after months of being quiet. Let’s catch up.
When I launched the first empowHER newsletter back in November ’23, I was on fire. But I won’t lie—life got busy, and in those rare moments of downtime, I found myself in a bit of a slump. If I’m being real, I love newsletters and blogs, but I also have the attention span of a goldfish (thanks, ADD!). Writing them feels like climbing a mountain some days, and that’s just the unfiltered truth.
For a while, I didn’t feel like this newsletter was the right space to communicate with the empowHER community. But that changed earlier this year.
What I’ve Been Up To
Since March, I’ve poured my energy into building the empowHER community through in-person events—because that’s where my passion lies. Being in the same room as all of you is where the magic happens. At a recent event, I had this lightbulb moment: There’s so much power in the voice of empowHER. And I want to rededicate myself to this newsletter as a way to keep the conversation going.
I’m committing to consistency—monthly updates at the very least, in addition to starting a Substack. Which gives me more flexibility in writing in a shorter forum.
Meet My Love Child: SheInnovates
One of the biggest things I’ve been working on is SheInnovates, my passion project and an offshoot of empowHER. Co-founded with Jess Cervellon and Dillon Duchesne, SheInnovates was born out of a shared vision to create something impactful for women in the DTC space.
We hosted our first summit back in March at the Shopify space in NYC, and it was such a success that we instantly knew we were onto something big. Fast-forward to last week: we hosted our second women-only summit in Brooklyn at Soho Works, bringing together 125+ incredible women from the DTC industry.
I still don’t have the words to fully describe the feeling of seeing so many talented, driven women connect in one space. It’s powerful. It’s meaningful. And it’s exactly why I do this work.

Lets Run It Back
Here is a quick recap of some of my favorite events empowHER hosted!
Galentines dinner in partnership with Brij: We had 15 women in the DTC space attend an intimate evening at Hudson Clearwater for dinner, lots of wine, and belly ache laughing. This event was truly one of my favorites
Empowering women through financial & real estate literacy: Teaming up with my best friend and powerhouse realtor, Lindsay Coleman from The Kirsten Jordan Team at Douglas Elliman, we hosted an unforgettable evening at a stunning Chelsea Penthouse. Over 30 women from diverse industries joined us, including the talented Kirsten Jordan herself from Million Dollar Listing NY. Our panel discussion with Kirsten, Lindsay, and Angelika Jones, Mortgage Broker at Citi Bank, focused on empowering women in finance, navigating major purchases, and balancing career and family. It was one of those evenings that you walk away from and think, shit i need to dedicate sometimes to my finances.
Summer dinner series at Grand Banks: Hosted a select group of women founders and leaders in the DTC ecosystem for an evening of meaningful conversation. We overlooked the beautiful skyline of NYC, discussed industry trends, shared experiences, tackled challenges, and celebrated our accomplishments. Shoutout to our amazing sponsors at Capital One Business Cards and Digital Genius!

The past 6 months have been nothing short but of excitement, new connections, bigger community and lots of connection!
Moving forward, I’m excited to share more about empowHER, SheInnovates, and all the amazing things we’re building. Thank you for being here, for your patience, and for being part of this community.
