Cheers to a year of growth, gratitude, and great adventures!

As December unfolds its final chapters, I find myself in deep reflections, traditions, and the anticipation of a new beginning. In the spirit of sharing and connecting with you, I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude and offer a glimpse into the rituals that shape my year-end experience.

This newsletter is a departure from our usual monthly updates. Instead, consider it a short but sweet letter, a precursor to the insights and stories we'll dive into in January's publication.

In the spirit of the season, I'm excited to share some cherished traditions and valuable insights that have been instrumental in preparing me for a fresh start in the upcoming year. I hope these reflections resonate with you and bring a sense of warmth and inspiration to your own December journey.

Thank you for being part of this community, and I look forward to connecting with you in the coming year.

New Year, new goals, new opportunities

We are all familiar with many employers having performance reviews around December or January, and the fresh slate of a new year prompts many people to set new goals anyway. I like to look at my career and personal goals together but bucket them on a “roadmap” - very professional of me I know. I am a visual person, creating a map helps me visualize the bigger picture of what I would like to achieve.

I think big, I have big aspirations for myself, and I tend to ask myself, ‘How is my career supporting my ideal life? What do I want my ideal life to look like?' Before getting into some of the resources I use or recommend I want to outline the 3 things I do the month of December.

  1. Deep reflection can be done in many different ways. Meditation is important in my daily life but I go in and out of phases of practice. In December, I make it a priority to meditate every morning for 8-12 minutes. Whatever comes up I write down right away. I believe journaling is another tool that is not only therapeutic it helps me look at some of the blockers I don’t even realize may be in front of me.

  2. Digital and physical vision boards are an incredibly important tool that allows you to attract the results you want in your life. There's something so motivating about envisioning success. Not only does this promote positive thinking, it helps you create clarity, increases motivation, and helps you explore your values. I create a digital version and keep it on my iPhone/laptop wallpaper. Those are two things I am using ALL the time, so seeing it every day starts to sync in and you create your vision your reality.

  3. Write a letter from the future self as your present self is a powerful tool I started 2 years ago, after doing a lot of spiritual work with my energy healer. One of the simplest yet effective ways to get yourself to do something new is by writing a letter to yourself but from the future. A great manifestation tactic that has truly worked for me. At the end of every year, I sit down and write a letter to myself describing all the things I have accomplished and how I feel like it has happened. I will then read the letter NYE, it is an amazing growth tool but also helps you reflect.
